SAMONAS SOUND THERAPY
| What is
Samonas Sound Therapy? Samonas Sound Therapy is a processing of therapeutic music that provides direct stimulation to the middle ear, cochlea, auditory nerve and cerebral cortex and indirect stimulation to the entire central nervous system. Samonas Sound Therapy teaches an individual to listen and trains the auditory system so that the full range of sound can be processed without distortion, hypersensitivity or frequency loss. This auditory training aids in the processing of language while eliminating the distractions of ambient sound. The data strongly suggests that this auditory input improves overall neurological function and hemispheric communication, and that it should prove to be beneficial for most who wish to explore its use. Samonas is relatively inexpensive compared to most sound treatments. It is provided in a series of compact disks, which through a specified treatment protocol can be done within the home. Why Sound Therapy? Hearing- and sound-related problems comprise one of the most universal areas of concern for special needs children. Problems in this area include: hypersensitive hearing, which can be seen in children ranging from the severely brain-injured to the gifted; varying degrees of hearing loss; auditory processing problems, which affect almost all special needs children; and more. Common causes for these problems range from ear infections and trauma to noise pollution. Who can benefit from Samonas Sound Therapy? People of all ages, from infants to mature adults, can benefit from a Samonas program. Benefits reported by clients utilizing individualized Samonas programs include:
Samonas should be considered for individuals with a history of ear infections, those with short- and long-term memory problems, those concerned about hearing loss, and individuals who experience auditory discrimination problems or have difficulty expressing themselves verbally.
